The UPBEAT BAND was proud to ring in 2013 with A Rockin’ New Years Eve Ball at Hilton Chicago Indian Lakes Resort NYE 2013!
The UpBeat Band performed a balanced mix of contemporary and classics for guests ages 21 to 91 - an exciting variety of today’s latest dance fav’s, including “Call Me Maybe” (Carly Rae Jepson) “Party Rock Anthem” (LMFAO), “I Gotta Feeling” (Black eyed Peas), “California Gurls” (Katy Perry), all of Lady Gaga’s best dance hits such as “Poker Face, Bad Romance,” etc., “Tik Tok” (Keesha), “All the Single Ladies, Crazy In Love” (Beyonce) etc., “Hey Ya” (OutKast), to name a few. UpBeat will also mix in a good variety of classics, including Sinatra swing, Motown and R&B classics (including UpBeat’s popular medley of Jackson Five / Aretha Franklin / Temptations standards), UpBeat will ‘get down’ with 70’s funk, including “Play That Funky Music” and “Staying Alive,” and upbeat fans at this event will demanded the 80’s Retro, including “Don’t Stop Believing,” “Billie Jean” and “Living On A Prayer.” And UpBeat rock out with a great variety of classics, ranging from “The Twist,” “Jessies’s Girl,” ”You Shook Me All Night Long” and “Summer of ‘69″ to name a few!
This special concert featured UpBeat’s “soul-singing-superstar-funkmaster” Curtis Bryant, Chicago’s very own vocal virtuoso Nicole Kestler, insanely-multi-talented (3 musicains in one!) pianist/vocal Reid Spears, UpBeat’s secret weapon guitar hero virtuoso Casey Ostrowski (aka “KC”), the lovely and talented vocal artistry of Karla Beard-Leroy, and Mike Cascio on Drums.
